My partner and I are finally planning a proper trip to Europe for the upcoming New Year's Eve, but we are completely overwhelmed by the choices. We want somewhere with an amazing festive atmosphere, great fireworks, and ideally some good street food or Christmas markets still lingering. Where have you been that truly lived up to the hype, and are there any hidden gems that aren't completely overrun by tourists?
